Local Event Information
Lace up your walking shoes and come join us for a day of fun and physical fitness as we walk to put hope within reach for children and adults with disabilities!
The day kicks-off with registration and pre-race festivities at 11am at the North Bank Shelter in Spokane’s beautiful Riverfront Park. All participants will have the opportunity to meet our Honorary Ambassadors Brad, Jake, Paul, Kelly and Thurman who have benefited from Easter Seals Washington programs.
At noon, the 1st Annual Easter Seals Washington Walk With Me begins. The 5K route takes you through Riverfront Park into downtown Spokane, and is highlighted by four Spokane River viewpoints.
Once you’ve completed the walk, sit back, relax, and enjoy the festivities, including refreshments, children’s activities, and presentations from local personalities.
Parking for the event is free and easy. Riverfront Park’s North Bank Shelter parking lot is located at the intersection of West Mallon St. and North Howard St. on the north bank of the Spokane River. If you proceed east on West Mallon St., you will arrive at the parking lot just after passing Spokane Arena.
Many thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers for making this event a reality. We look forward to walking with you for the benefit of people with disabilities throughout Washington State! |
